Individuals applying through IRCC or foreign consulates may need digital fingerprints for a certified criminal record check as part of their immigration or visa process, ensuring identity and background verification.

Record suspension
To apply for a record suspension (pardon), fingerprints must be submitted to the RCMP to access and review your criminal record, as required by the Parole Board of Canada.e verification and reports of digital fingerprints. Therefore we mail scanned fingerprints along with the application details through secure links to police services.

Name changes
Provinces require fingerprints during the legal name change process to confirm your identity, prevent fraud, and check for any criminal history under your current or previous name(s).

Citizenship and permanent residency
When applying for Canadian citizenship or permanent residency, the IRCC may request a certified fingerprint-based criminal background check to verify your identity and assess your admissibility status.
